STUDENTS' REFERRAL CLAIM FORM - TERMS & CONDITIONS
A referrer shall be a current student or member of staff of the University who has communicated with a prospective student or their parents/guardians and journeyed with them from choosing the Dominican University, through POST-UTME Screening and printing of admissions letter, to complete payment of acceptance fees for enrolment into the University.
The staff members conducting administrative duties in the following units are exempted from benefiting from this scheme: Admissions Unit, the Directorate of Conversion Programmes, and the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies.
A referred candidate is a first year or direct entry applicant who has clearly indicated that he or she has been accompanied by a referrer up the point of accepting admission and payment of acceptance fees for enrolment into the Dominican University.
The referral scheme rewards current students and members of staff of the Dominican University with an incentive for every successful referral. The main objective is to reward the efforts of students and staff in growing the student community.
The referred candidate must clearly indicate in the Referral Disclosure Form that he/she was referred to the Dominican University Ibadan by only ONE referrer at the time of completing the Application Form on the Dominican University application portal.
The referral form completed by the referred candidate shall be treated as invalid if the referred candidate indicates more than one referrer.
The referred candidate is required to print out the Referral Disclosure Form and submit same and other relevant documents required for admission to the Admissions Office.
There is no limit on the number of referrals a current student or staff may make.
A verification officer is required to conduct verification checks and to sign the students' referral claim form only after due diligence has been made to verify information supplied by both the referrer and the referred candidate.
Rewards shall be processed accordingly and due payment made a week after matriculation of the enrolled undergraduate students or after orientation activities of postgraduate students.
The rewards applicable are as follows: the sum of twenty thousand (20,000) naira for successful referral of a regular undergraduate or postgraduate student and ten thousand (10,000) naira for each successfully referred conversion programme student.
In the event of multiple referrers making claim to having referred a particular student, the referrer whose name appears on the referral form completed by the referred candidate shall be recognized as the authentic referrer. If none of the multiple referrers' name is indicated, the claims of the multiple referrers shall be treated as null and void.
This scheme is effective for the admission into the 2025/2026 Academic Session only.
Dominican University reserves the right to amend any terms and conditions pertaining to this scheme. The decision of the Vice Chancellor about any issue on this incentivizing process shall be final.
